Microsoft My Phone: Screenshot Gallery

Keep on reading for more screenshots…
While we don’t know just how many people were lucky enough to be the recipients of the first batch of My Phone invites, we do know there’s many out there who weren’t so lucky tonight. So for you guys, here’s the next best thing, a screenshot gallery of what you’re missing out on!

These captures were taken while setting up and running the My Phone client on a relatively fresh install of Windows Mobile 6.1 on an HTC Touch (Vogue).

And that covers the My Phone client for Windows Mobile. The client offers the basic options that you would expect, including being able to choose if you want to sync manually or automatically, how often to sync automatically and what information you want to sync. What more do you need really? Let’s move on to the web interface…

As a little test, I decided to download my screenshots from the web interface instead of transferring them directly to my computer. Sure enough, after syncing up, there they were:

The interface is very simple and provides quick access to all of your different categories of data. The “Connected Phones” page would also suggest that multiple phones can be synced to a single account, unfortunately I currently only have access to one Windows Mobile phone to test this with. The syncing process was actually surprisingly quick. It took less than a minute to synchronize all 31 bitmap screenshots, and that is over a relatively slow EVDO network.

So there you have it, a quick look at My Phone mobile synchronization service. If you haven’t already signed up for the waitlist, you can do so at https://myphone.microsoft.com.
