Forget Silicon, This Teenager’s Solar Panel Uses Human Hair as a Conductor


If eighteen-year-old Milan Karki doesn’t turn out to be the next Tesla or Edison, then I’ll chop off my locks. This kid invented a panel which uses human hair as a conductor and could solve an crisis.

Milan Karki has managed to create a 9v, 18W solar panel, he managed to make his solar panel for only  23 (roughly $38). He also claims that when mass produced the price could drop substantially down to under $10 a panel, which would shatter the $1/watt sweet spot.(…)
