Blog Focus on Google Nexus One Reviews

The Google Nexus One, announced by Google to be sold directly to the public unlocked, has been hyped as the Android flag-bearer, the iPhone killer, and a hemorrhoid cure. Does it accomplish any of those goals?
The blogs chatted amongst themselves and came up with the following in their reviews and hands-on articles:
• Gizmodo — First, here’s Gizmodo’s Everything You Need to Know compilation work. The specs, carrier details, etc. are there as well as a hands-on impression from December.
• Engadget — “It’s a good Android phone, but not the last word — in fact, if we had to choose between this phone or the Droid right now, we would lean towards the latter.”
• GigaOM — “It certainly is the best Android device on the market, hands down. But compared to the iPhone, it’s not as smooth or effortless to use.”
• Boy Genius Report — Just a hands-on at this point, but feel free to get handsy with your monitor at the unboxing porn.
• SlashGear — Another hands-on: “Can the slender battery keep up with the 3.7-inch AMOLED display, plentiful connectivity and speedy processor? We’ll let you know soon enough…”
• Technologizer — Harry McCracken interviews himself about the phone. “Android could use a more streamlined interface–one with fewer buttons and menus, in fewer places… Beyond that, if I were Google I’d do everything in my power to help third-party developers build as many exceptional apps as possible.”
