Crestron Core 3 OS Lets You Control Your Entire House from Android, iPhone and iPad

There’s lot going on in home automation giant Crestron’s new Core 3 OS, but up there is the fact that it runs on basically anything—from the iPhone and iPad to the Samsung Galaxy tablets sprinkled around their booth.

Core 3 supports HTML5, Flash, h.264 video, and from it you can control AV equipment, lighting, climate control and pretty much anything else networked into the system.

HTC 7 Mozart
It trumps the WP7 handsets announced by LG and Samsung today, with an 8MP camera and Xenon flash, and also has Dolby Mobile and SRS Wow HD for “virtual surround sound.”
Otherwise, it’s very similar to the other WP7 phones HTC has announced, with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 512MB RAM and 576MB of ROM, and 8GB of internal storage.

Root Nearly Any Android Device With One Click

You could already root the Droid X with a single click, but now? Now hardly any Android device is immune. Even Froyo-powered phones are falling victim to SuperOneClick. Liberty!
There’s still not a comprehensive list of exactly what phones SuperOneClick is compatible with, but the initial word is that it’ll root the Nexus One, Motorola Droid, and Samsung Captivate among others.

ARM: Quad-Core 2.5 GHz Cortex A-15 is Definitely Happening

Ok, consider my mind blown. ARM – the same folks behind the Cortex A-8 processors we enjoy in many chipsets today – has announced that they’ll be bringing out a 2.5GHz quad-core Cortex A-15 processor core, but don’t expect to see this thing tomorrow (or even next year).
