Sony Ericsson Begins Shipping the Xperia X8

Sony Ericsson has finally gotten around to shipping yet another pedestrian Android offering, this time the Xperia X8. Much in the same vein as the X10 Mini, this handset features Android 1.6 and a custom SE interface. There is, naturally, a promised update to Android 2.1 by the end of the year, but seeing as SE has yet to deliver on promises for their other Android handsets, we’d suggest you not hold your breath.

New Bloggie Touch Does Full HD Recording, 12.8 Megapixel Stills

Sony’s upgrading its chunky little Bloggie personal camcorder into a full-blown touchscreen device, with the Bloggie Touch—a sleek little option for recording Full HD video and capturing 12.8 megapixel still shots.
The biggest change to new Bloggie is the addition of a 3″ touchscreen, which has allowed Sony to ditch the black plastic of the last-gen Bloggie in favour of a minimalist new look.
